House Points

 

The school operates a house point system. On starting school the children are assigned a house colour, Red (Dragon), Green (Griffin) or Yellow (Pheonix), which they keep throughout their time at the Abercarn. The children can earn points for their house by working hard, coming to school on time and getting recognised by the class teacher or headteacher. They can also earn points by taking part in school activities such as sports days.

The children also earn points if they are given a Good Work or Good Behaviour award at our school awards assembly which is held every Friday.
